Kate Shorr-Burlingame
Kate began at MUSE in February of 2024. She holds a degree in Child Development from California State University, Northridge and has over 10 years of teaching experience. She is passionate about brain science and understanding the “why” behind the behavior. She believes that childhood should be a wondrous time of warmth, magic and curiosity. She sees curiosity as the key to understanding most challenges and embraces patience and compassion as necessary components of learning. In a previous life, she was a singer-songwriter and toured the U.S. with her husband. Now, when they get lucky, you might hear one of their songs out there in tv land. Kate and her husband live with their 11 year-old son, 4 year-old Golden-doodle and 3 year-old crayfish.
