MEET OUR FOUNDERS: SUZY AMIS CAMERON AND JAMES CAMERON.

MUSE launched in 2006 and has since developed to serve children from age two through high school. It has grown to be a comprehensive revisualization of how an education system can function to inspire parents and children alike to lead happier, healthier, and more successful lives while also having a positive impact on the sustainability of our planet.

Founders

When Suzy Amis Cameron and James Cameron began developing MUSE, Suzy teamed up with her sister, Rebecca Amis, a past collaborator in child-centered schools, to build a program that incorporated the latest advances in education science and engaged with new visions of how children learn—a school that would not be bogged down by the received dogma of traditional models.

“What wakes me up every day? Feeling a great urgency and responsibility to make the world a better place for all of our children and future generations.”

— Suzy Amis Cameron, MUSE School Founder

The initial concept came about as Suzy, a mother of five, grew tired of watching her older children struggle in conventional schools (even though the schools were considered to be among the best available). Suzy and James consulted with specialists to develop something new: a state-of-the-art science-based alternative approach that would also nurture environmental awareness. That initial mission evolved into a journey that now—more than seventeen years later—has generated dynamic, compelling opportunities for others to partner with them around the world.

In addition to MUSE Global in-person learning, our remote learning program is a great alternative to in-person instruction. The Cameron’s have added an online platform to give all families the opportunity to experience a MUSE education while in the comfort of their own home.
