Gia Larussa

A first generation Angeleno, Giovanna was first drawn to plant based cooking by the abundance of local farmers markets in Los Angeles. Her entire professional cooking career has been dedicated to her love of seasonality and vegetables. Gia has worked in some of the best vegan restaurants in Los Angeles, and has developed two online plant based cooking courses. Gia studied culinary arts at Los Angeles Trade-Technical College and holds a BA in art history from UCLA. She is a firm believer in hands-on learning and is honored to share her passion for plant based cooking and sustainability with students at MUSE.
