STEAM EDUCATION POWERED BY MICA TECHNOLOGY

At the core of MUSE Global School’s progressive STEAM curriculum (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Mathematics) is the groundbreaking MICA (Measurement, Instrumentation, Control, and Analysis) technology. Developed by Dr. Ian Hunter at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), MICA transforms traditional science and engineering education into an immersive, hands-on experience. Through real-time data analysis, interactive experiments, and dynamic learning modules, students from elementary through high school actively explore STEAM concepts with curiosity, creativity, and confidence.

STEAM INNOVATION IN ACTION: MICA AT MUSE

Leading the MICA program at MUSE is Russell Mallen, an MIT graduate in Electrical Engineering and Economics, and Head of our Science and Mathematics Program. With a passion for interdisciplinary learning, Mallen ensures that MICA is seamlessly woven into both core academics and the passion-based projects that make MUSE unique. His leadership fosters intellectual rigor while encouraging students to think critically and solve complex problems from multiple perspectives. MICA’s integration into the classroom empowers students to pursue interests in robotics, environmental science, biotechnology, and beyond. MUSE Global Students building real-world skills through individualized and collaborative learning.

By blending science, technology, engineering, art, and math through hands-on experimentation, students uncover the principles of nature and innovation that can’t be learned from theory alone.

WHAT MAKES OUR STEAM APPROACH UNIQUE?

  • Students participate in real-time data analysis, interactive experiments, and dynamic learning modules from elementary through high school.
  • Under the leadership of Russell Mallen (an MIT graduate in Electrical Engineering & Economics), MICA is seamlessly embedded into both core academics and passion-based projects.
  • Learners explore fields such as robotics, environmental science, and biotechnology, developing the critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills to tackle real-world challenges.
