Tressa Wyner is a passionate educator with over 20 years of experience as a teacher and school leader. Originally from Minnesota, she earned her K–8 teaching license and a B.A. in Psychology from Hamline University. Tressa joined MUSE Global School in 2015 as a middle school teacher. Since then, she has held a range of leadership roles—serving as Director of the Middle & High School and, most recently, becoming Head of School in 2024.
Grounded in a whole-child approach, Tressa is proud to lead a school that values rigorous academics alongside personalized learning tailored to each child’s unique strengths and goals. Tressa also engages the MUSE community in the essential, global work of creating a more just and sustainable future for our people and the planet. She values collaboration and partnership with students, families, and faculty to create a meaningful, inclusive learning environment.
A certified Process Communication Model (PCM) trainer since 2018, Tressa is dedicated to helping students and parents communicate with clarity, resolve conflict effectively, and build authentic relationships. She believes strongly in teaching students to advocate for themselves and others, and she empowers students, educators, and families to take bold risks, find joy through play, stand firmly in their convictions, engage in purposeful reflection, uplift one another, and approach the world with curiosity and critical thought.
Outside of school, Tressa enjoys visiting family in Minnesota, cooking and sharing meals, reading, and exploring the outdoors. She also loves spending time with her husband, three sons, and dog, who also share her passion for community, wellness, and lifelong learning.
Megan Grieco — MUSE Global Director of Upper and Lower School — has dedicated her last 15 years to revolutionizing (and evolutionizing) primary and secondary education. Megan’s passion for education, environmental and social justice, and teaching young people how to listen to their minds and bodies, is everpresent in her teaching and leadership. After earning a dual masters in Literacy and Special Education, Megan relocated to Southern California to lead a play-based childhood education program and to pursue teaching opportunities that aligned with her philosophy on how education can excite young people about their relationship with each other and planet Earth.
When Megan discovered MUSE, she knew she’d found a new home. Since joining MUSE Global School, Megan has served as a teacher and co-chair in MUSE’s Elementary, Middle, and High School departments. Megan’s dedication to broadening student perspectives and fostering academic achievement saw her embrace leadership roles in MUSE’s Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Justice steering committee, curriculum revision team, and special education resource management.
Megan is thrilled to serve as MUSE’s Director of Lower and Upper School and knows that, “Each of us have the power to shape our world with how we educate young people.”

Our educational philosophy is rooted in Our Five Pillars. At MUSE Global School, everything we do is grounded in our Five Pillars:
1. Academics
2. Passion-Based Learning
3. Self-Efficacy
4. Communication
5. Sustainability
These pillars shape every part of the student experience—from curriculum design to community involvement.
Our Founder, Suzy Amis Cameron, created OMD (One Meal a Day)—a global movement encouraging individuals to choose one plant-based meal a day for their health and the planet. OMD began right here at MUSE!
On campus, Chef Robin Swallow leads our culinary program with fresh, seasonal, plant-based meals—many ingredients harvested from our own gardens. This daily connection to food, health, and sustainability is central to the MUSE experience.
MUSE students of all ages explore their passions through enriching specialist classes and electives that spark creativity and support whole-child development. Our specialists include:
• Seed-to-Table & Plant-Based Cooking
• Visual Arts
• Spanish
• French
• Outdoor Education
• Mindfulness
Each program is thoughtfully designed to foster curiosity, critical thinking, and a love of learning that lasts a lifetime.
Our Elementary students experience rigorous Core Academics, with Passion-Based Learning to create meaningful, personalized education.
Teachers connect each student’s interests to academic standards through:
• Collaborative projects
• Idividualized studies
• Daily classroom instruction
Students are also immersed in a range of specialist classes, giving them a broad, well-rounded foundation for both academic and personal growth.
Our Middle School & High School students take ownership of their learning through interdisciplinary, passion-driven course work. We combine academic excellence with real-world relevance through:
• Mentorships & internship
• MICA: Advancing STEM at MUSE (more below)
• Service-learning projects
• Dual-enrollment college courses
• Independent study opportunities
MICA (Measurement, Instrumentation, Control, and Analysis), developed at MIT by Dr. Ian Hunter, is transforming STEM education at MUSE. Led by MIT graduate and Head of Science and Mathematics, Russell Mallen, the MICA program brings hands-on experimentation, real-time data, and interactive learning into the classroom.
Students explore robotics, environmental science, and biotechnology while building critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Seamlessly integrated into both core academics and passion-based projects, MICA empowers students to innovate across disciplines and tackle real-world challenges with confidence.
MUSE Global School Middle School & High School students are supported by dedicated advisors and expert subject instructors who guide them in developing as innovative thinkers, compassionate leaders, and empowered global citizens.
